Giving Your Grok Bot Its Own Email Address

Checked against xAI's official docs on Oct 28, 2026

A Bot can have its own email address, so it can send and receive mail for its job without using your inbox. Here's how xAI's changelog describes it, checked on Oct 28, 2026.

A Bot's own address

Version 0.70.2 (October 11, 2026) says Bots can claim their own email address and receive mail there, and email they send from it waits for your approval on a draft card.

What the changelog adds

Using a Bot email address well: our suggestions

These are our ideas, not xAI's.

  1. Keep drafts on for anything going to customers, at least at first.
  2. Use a tagged address per job, like receipts or orders, so each routine stays tidy.
  3. Only email people who expect to hear from you, and follow email marketing rules where you operate.
  4. Let customers know when a message comes from an AI assistant. Our guide to telling customers when they're talking to AI has wording ideas.
